New Learning Award for Arethusa Venture Centre

The Arethusa Venture Centre is one of the first organizations in Kent and Medway to have been awarded the new Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge. To gain the badge, the Centre had to undergo a rigorous inspection process to meet the LOtC criteria including assessment of staff competence, management of risks, effectiveness of communications, transport, accommodation and facility maintenance.

Lesley Wright, Head of Centre, said “we are delighted to have achieved the high standard set by LOtC at the first attempt.

This demonstrates that we ‘walk the talk’ and is a reflection of the professionalism and dedication of the whole Arethusa staff team”.
