Shaftesbury Young People’s Education Service provides support, advocacy and education intervention for looked after young people, young people excluded from school or on the verge of exclusion, and those failing to access education.
We work in Greater London, Coventry and Stoke-on-Trent.
Shaftesbury Education Advisors specialise in working with the most challenging school pupils. We engage young people in their school and at home to re-establish their interest in learning and to fast track them through areas of work where they have fallen behind.
Over 80% of care leavers finish school with no qualifications. Our service continues to achieve outstanding results, with 95% of young people receiving support successfully re-engaging in education and following an ongoing pathway plan for further education, training and employment.
