Leaving Care Services
Shaftesbury Young People provides support, advice and information to assist care leavers to live on their own successfully. Support is given in the areas of housing, health, education, training and employment.
Young people leaving care face many challenges. Our leaving care service is designed to support a young person’s practical, emotional and interpersonal skills development.
The service supports young people to make a gradual, seamless transition from care to independence. We offer a range of flexible, targeted services to care leavers aged 16 plus. Our services are provided through outreach, one-stop-shops and group support. We want to give care leavers the same positive experiences, opportunities and life chances as their contemporaries.
