Supported Housing
Offering a range of comfortable, homely accommodation to young single homeless people in a stable, dependable and supportive environment.
We support young people to gain the skills, confidence and experience they will need to take on the responsibilities of independent living. When they move on to their own self-contained accommodation we want to know that they will be successful.
Each young person is allocated a Housing Support Worker who is responsible for supporting and overseeing their progress in an agreed plan. Their plan is based on the Every Child Matters 5 outcomes with a focus on developing independence skills. This plan addresses the individual needs of the young person as assessed during the referral and interview process and is written in collaboration with the young person.
We help young people in transition to:
- Establish and maintain financial stability
- Maintain or return to education or training
- Develop social skills, building social contacts and activities
- Establish health and emotional well being supported through counselling and advice
- Understand and establish personal safety and security
