What we do
Shaftesbury Young People provides a range of services and activities to support young people in care and in need
Using ‘good enough for my child?’ as a constant reference point, we provide robust advocacy and intensive support for young people in need between eight and 25 years.

Our service users are some of the most vulnerable, most at risk and most disadvantaged young people in our society.
We work with children in care and through their transition to independence in order to provide the guidance, structure, consistency and opportunities that all young people should receive from their family.
Although 60,000 children are in care in the UK, there are still more who are in equal need of support but not within the system. We provide support to improve the education, social welfare and emotional wellbeing of young people in need in the UK.
The 5 Every Child Matters outcomes lie at the foundation of our work.
